ReAL Edgemere CLT is hiring a CLT Manager!
The ReAL Edgemere Community Land Trust (CLT) is a resident-led community organization in the Edgemere neighborhood of the Rockaway peninsula. The CLT works to support the revitalization of a marginalized community of color through the development of affordable housing and programming of land. The CLT will own, develop and manage land in order to create a just, equitable and resilient Edgemere, and will use grassroots methods to plan and develop housing, open-spaces, and amenities to cultivate economic, ecological, and cultural vibrancy.
The CLT is currently run on volunteer labor from a very dedicated Board that consists of seven local community members and two technical advisors, and we are now looking to hire the organization’s first staff member. We are looking for a person who loves a challenge, and who is excited about the prospect of building a new organization dedicated to building a more just and climate-resilient Edgemere.
