This is notification of upcoming Sandy Rehabilitation Track Work that will impact the Rockaways and Subway Service beginning Saturday, March 25th at 5:30 AM until Sunday, March 26th at 10:00 PM. Station signage will begin going up at impacted stations and I will send over additional digital notices once they are complete that can be shared out with constituents. Please note the following:
There will be no A train service between Rockaway Blvd and Far Rockaway-Mott Av
Rockaway Park Shuttle Train service at Broad Channel will be replaced by free shuttle buses
Service Changes:
A trains WILL run between Inwood-207 St and Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd.
Rockaway Park Shuttle runs between Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St and Far Rockaway-Mott Av, every 20 minutes, days/evenings.
Shuttle Bus Service will run along three routes, making station stops on the A and Rockaway Shuttle lines:
1. Far Rockaway Shuttle Bus buses run nonstop between Rockaway Blvd and Far Rockaway-Mott Av.
2. Rockaway Park Shuttle Bus buses run between Rockaway Blvd and Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St.
3. Howard Beach Shuttle Bus buses run between Rockaway Blvd and Howard Beach-JFK Airport.
Transfer between A trains and Shuttle Bus buses at Rockaway Blvd.
Transfer between Shuttle Bus buses and the Rockaway shuttle trains at Far Rockaway-Mott Av, Beach 90 St and/or Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St H.
JFK travel tip:
For AirTrain JFK, take the J to/from Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av-JFK Airport via transfer at Broadway Junction.
To/from Manhattan, take the E instead.
